90 day fiance stars Paul Staehle and Karine Martins can separate. In a recent state of affairs, Staehle revealed that Martins has retained a divorce lawyer – and that he has allegedly received a phone call from the same lawyer.
This follows a somewhat tumultuous relationship. Staehle and Martins both had difficulty with their visas in each other’s country and originally had to communicate with translation tools. Now the couple has a child – and according to Staehle their child may be in the middle of the divorce.
The 90 day fiance couple originally had some major problems in obtaining their visas for each other’s country. Paul Staehle was initially unable to pay for the US Karine Martins visa and Martins’ mother refused to co-sponsor her visa.
As a result, Staehle decided that he would move to Brazil until they could resolve their K-1 visa issues in the US. In a shocking state of affairs, Staehle was originally also refused his visa in Brazil.
Strangely enough, the reason for denial was cited as terrorist charges. Staehle was visibly upset at the time. Staehle ran away from the cameras, seemingly overtaken by stress and panic. He later told Martins that he would just go back to the US and send them money until all was well. Eventually Staehle was able to stay in Brazil.
It seems that the allegations of terrorism may be related to the Staehle criminal record in the US. Paul Staehle was accused of a second-degree arson in 2007, apparently the result of a termination of the relationship. “One of the relationships I was in ended so badly that it got me into serious trouble,” Staehle said in the show.
Welcoming a baby
The 90 Day Fiancé stars eventually worked out the nods in Karine Martins’ K-1 visa process and were able to make the move to the US. The two started trying a child and went through two tragic miscarriages.
Paul Staehle said to Cosmopolitan: “The miscarriages were something that none of us will ever forget. It brought us even closer together as we set aside arguments and disagreements to comfort each other. It is a tragic moment of life that nobody should endure. “
Martins and Staehle welcomed a baby boy into the world on March 22, 2019. Baby Pierre was born without complications, something for which the couple were very grateful. They had realized that Martins was pregnant much sooner after her second miscarriage than doctors had recommended.
When Martins was pregnant, Staehle asked for a paternity test. Although around 90 Day Fiancé fans assume that this is due to concerns about loyalty, it may have something to do with obtaining an American visa.
Staehle previously shared a screenshot from the US Department of Foreign Affairs that stated: “To pass American citizenship on to a child born abroad, there must be a biological relationship between the child and a parent or parents of an American citizen. Genetic testing is a useful tool for verifying a certified biological relationship in the absence of sufficient other evidence to establish such a [a] relationship. “
Divorce on the horizon?
Unfortunately, it seems that baby Pierre is the center of a possible divorce. Paul Staehle recently revealed that his 90-day fiancé wife has taken on a divorce lawyer.
Staehle wrote in a now deleted Facebook message: “Karine asked me to delete our photos. And let everyone know that she doesn’t want me in her life. “Karine advogado de divorcio me ligou. I think I need a lawyer. “
The Portuguese part of his position translates to: “Karine’s divorce lawyer called me.”
Staehle had previously started a survey on Instagram which, although a hypothetical question, appeared to be a somewhat disguised post about his own relationship. He asked: ‘Keep a survey strictly out of curiosity. For someone I know very well … Should a wife divorce her husband over his mother who buys gifts every day to spoil their son? Should a grandmother be banished to see her grandchildren to spoil them. And a man divorced for defending his mother’s actions? “
