David and Annie have gone down in true-life history as one of the most successful marriages to come out of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise.
Their love story began coincidentally in Annie Suwan Toborowsky’s home country of Thailand, where David Toborowsky was living after going through a difficult time. He never imagined he would find the love of his life more than 8,000 miles away from his home in Louisville, Kentucky.
After meeting, the couple had a whirlwind romance and it took David Toborowsky about two weeks to propose. In order to bring Annie Suwan Toborowsky back to the United States, they applied for a K-1, or engagement visa, which meant Annie had 90 days to marry David Toborowsky – hence the show’s title.
As we know, nothing good comes easy and David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan Toborowsky’s relationship is proof of that. 90 Day Fiancé It Took David 10 Days To Fall In Love With Annie
After David and Annie met, things moved on quite quickly. In fact, it took Toborowsky a total of 10 days to find out that Suwan was ‘the one’. The moment that sealed the deal was on one of their first dates; the couple were shopping at the Thai-Cambodian border market, where household goods and clothes are sold at discount prices.
While there, Annie Suwan Toborowsky bought things for her family such as pens, pencils, books and shoes instead of herself. “She was buying for her little brothers and buying for her mom and for her dad,” David Toborowsky recounted to The List. “I was like, ‘What a genuine heart she has.”
To that end, David Toborowsky was ready to take things to the next level. “After dating for a week or two, I proposed to Annie,” David Toborowsky explained . As a U.S. citizen, David then had to apply for a K-1, or engagement visa, to bring Annie Suwan Toborowsky to the United States. Once in the US, she had 90 days by law to marry David Toborowsky. Even though it only took David a few days to fall in love with Annie, he still proves every day that he is worthy of her love. “My life is like ’50 First Dates.’ Every day, I have to make her fall in love with me.” David told Parade.
