Paul and Karine Staehle, stars of the hit reality series 90 Day Fiancé, recently welcomed their son Pierre to the world earlier this year. Pierre Martins Staehle was born at 3.20 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019, weighing 6.9 pounds and measuring at 19.7 inches.
The couple was overjoyed to meet their son. “I am very happy, very excited,” Paul said after the birth of Pierre to Entertainment Weekly. “I am also very nervous and want to do everything I can and do everything well. Everyone keeps asking how it feels to be a father. Anyone can make a baby, but the daily process of being a father makes a new one experience. I am very happy, very honored and very privileged and I want to make sure that I do my very best for Pierre. “
This is what you need to know about the son Pierre of Paul and Karine:
Paul Wanted Karine to Get a Paternity Test When She Found Out She Was Pregnant With Pierre
On the 90-day fiance: before the 90-day “couples tell everything” special last year, the two revealed that Karine was pregnant and that Paul wanted the child to get a paternity DNA test as soon as he was born, probably because of different cheating scandals Paul had previously accused Karine in their relationship. Paul told her that he wanted the test on live television after Karine happily announced that she was pregnant through a video chat.
In the clip above, Karine asks “are you doing this seriously?” Before he sobbed and said, “I hope my visa is not approved and that I don’t come to America because my husband speaks badly about me from everyone.”
The couple also received some recoil after Paul placed a link to a fundraiser and encouraged fans to send baby gifts for their son a few months into Karine’s pregnancy. Earlier this year, Paul told fans that the couple accepted digital gifts as part of an “online baby shower,” which quickly returned from fans accusing the couple of “begging” fans for money and gifts.
Karine Had Suffered Several Miscarriages Before Pierre
Karine tragically suffered two miscarriages before her healthy full-term pregnancy with Pierre. The show documented one of the miscarriages and Paul revealed that she had suffered a second shortly thereafter. He told Cosmopolitan that the miscarriages brought them closer together while “putting aside arguments and disagreements to comfort each other.”
Although the doctors wanted the couple to wait at least six months after their last miscarriage to try again, Karine became pregnant again before that six-month period, so the couple was even more concerned about Pierre losing. Fortunately, Karine was able to show Pierre and the reality stars are happy to raise their son in America today.
Karine Had a Tough Time Giving Birth to Pierre But He is Happy & Healthy Today
Entertainment Weekly reports that Martins had some minor problems when she started working with Pierre. The publication states that Martins’ had a hard time giving birth to her son, but that the baby was happy and healthy early on despite a few setbacks.
“I feel good and happy, even with the difficult time I’ve had,” Karine Entertainment Weekly said after the birth. “And I am recovering well, but I am still very weak. It was super difficult, but now everything is fine, because the baby is calm and he breastfeeds well. “
The couple often post pictures of Pierre on their respective Instagram accounts, with Paul recently placing a picture of his small family tree in front of a T-Mobile board, while Karine regularly uploads photos of herself, holds on, breastfeeds, and plays with her son.
