Only one episode in and there are already cracks in the relationships in the center of 90 Day Fiancé season seven.
In the premiere episode, viewers met most couples of the new season who welcomed cameras into their lives while racing against the 90 day deadline to marry their overseas loved ones. There is the beekeeper and her Turkish husband, the wealthy wine entrepreneur and his young model fiancee, the social activist / bartender and her bartender beau, the English teacher and her personal trainer lover, and the ride share driver and his angry emoji-sending fiance from the Dominican Republic.
There were many cases that caused some viewers to scratch their heads this week, but Emily made sure that viewers – and family members – became skeptical. A self-described former party girl (she said she went to many raves), Emily moved to Russia after graduating to become an English teacher. When she got there, she said it was not as she had imagined. She soon became lonely because she doesn’t speak Russian and said she went to a gym for human interaction. There she met Sasha.
Originally only her personal trainer, their gym turned into dating that resulted in a pregnancy. Now Emily is ready to be the third Mrs. Sasha, and the mother of his third child with his soon three different women. In the premiere, Emily was only four days away from her due date.
Emily’s family was understandably skeptical. A video conversation with her sister was peppered with quite a few questions that upset Emily in Russia. Her family thinks he will leave her like he did his other wives.
“We are different,” said Emily. “Our relationship is perfect and we will last a long time.”
While video chatting and being hit with difficult questions, Emily said she felt incredibly dizzy, hung up and called on Sasha to come to her.
Anna and Mursel
Anna, a single mother for children aged 15, 14 and 6, is also a beekeeper in Nebraska. Because of her love for bees she met Mursel. Originally they crossed paths in a Facebook group for beekeepers. Chatting their led to video calls and a month or two in video dating, he suggested. She went to visit him and when she came home, the K-1 visa process began. Now he was approved and he was on the way. But Anna said she had doubts. What if he doesn’t get along well with her children? What if the language barrier is too much? Many of her concerns were raised after a meeting with her childhood friend.
Mursel finally landed in Nebraska and the language barrier was fully visible at the airport. Who was the random man Mursel brought with him? It took a few minutes to straighten that out (they met at the airport).
Michael and Juliana
Michael, an independent wine entrepreneur, said that he deals with import, wine distribution and wine auctions. He said he knows he sounds dull. And he knows what it sounds like when it comes to his model fiance who is in his twenties. It does not bother him that people think he is an old, sleazy rich man.
Michael and Juliana met on a yacht in Croatia. She was discovered by a model scout, but before that she worked as a seamstress with her mother. Now Michael gave her access to his credit cards as she got her modeling career off the ground.
The two met several times around the world, but Juliana travel visa to the United States was denied. According to Michael, they were suspicious that she would come to the United States for “nasty reasons.”
Will Juliana adapt to life as a stepmother of two young children? And the fact that Michael lives around the corner from his ex-wife, with whom he says he has become closer since the divorce? His ex-wife wondered if Juliana was with Michael for the right reasons and really worried about the disruption that her coming would bring to the lives of her children.
Tania and Syngin
Tania, a bartender and social activist, met Syngin while in South Africa to meet another man. The first man didn’t work, she went out, met some girls, and then crossed paths with bartender Syngin. She went home with him that first night and finally spent two months in South Africa. She returned home briefly and returned to South Africa for a few months. Now she is back in the United States and ready to welcome Syngin into her life … where they will live in a barn behind her mother’s house. Her family is worried about how they will do in her field with her responsibilities.
Robert and Anny
Robert, a driving share driver in Florida, met Anny on social media. They started chatting and when Robert was ready to meet her, he booked a cruise that stopped a day in the Dominican Republic. There he met Anny for the first time and was introduced hours later. “I go with my heart and my mind,” he said of everyone who questioned his thought process. He has not seen her since. Now she is getting ready to move to the United States and she is ready for an expensive ring.
Before her arrival, Robert, who admitted he was careful with money, set out to buy Anny some lingerie. While she was away, she sent him dozens of angry emojis because she could not get access to money, he had joined her for last-minute spending in the DR. This didn’t go well with Robert.
