David Murphey is one of the favorite fans of the last season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. It took seven years for David to finally meet his Ukrainian girlfriend, Lana. However, while appearing in the show’s Tell-All, Murphey opened up to say that he is unable to speak with Lana at this time. This is due to the International Marriage Broker Regulation Act (IMBRA).
90 Day Fiancé star David Murphey Cannot Talk To Lana
As reported by ScreenRant, David Murphy tells fans of the show’s virtual reunion that he is blocked from talking to his girlfriend Lana. He met Lana on a dating site, where he had to pay every time he talked to the beautiful Ukrainian girl.
Many fans believe that Lana is David Murphy the cat fisherman, since he will communicate only through the website. This cost him a good 300,000 dollars, just for the privilege of talking to Lana. However, they talked together for a period of seven years. Until the end, every time David tries to meet Lana, she disappoints him. He goes to Ukraine to meet her at an agreed-upon location, and she never shows up.
After his last trip to America, David Murphy and Lana make another plan to meet. He goes to Ukraine again and this time she appears. David, and everyone who looks at him, is amazed.
On the 90 Day Fiancé virtual reunion, Big Ed Brown takes the trouble to make fun of David Murphey for his relationship. And he’s convinced that if Lana really wants a relationship with David, she’ll leave the dating site. David returns to him saying that the dating site was the only way to communicate with Lana. Because of a law, it is forbidden for Lana to interact with people using different platforms.
David Murphey told Ed Brown that he is forbidden to talk with Lana in any other way because of the International Marriage Broker Regulation Act (IMBRA). This leaves cast members and viewers confused about his explanation. A Reddit user, TheDogmotherPartTwo, decides to look into the IMBRA Act relating to Lana’s dating website, Victoriya Club.
The Reddit user writes that the agency is clearly misrepresenting the law. This is to deceive men to use only the Victoriya Club website, at a cost per minute. If the law was really wrong, Murphey could have talked to Lana for free all the time. $300,000 is a lot of money!
