After the passing of Alaskan Bush People patriarch Billy Brown earlier this year, members of his family continue to mourn him. That includes his son, Matt Brown.
Matt Brown took to Instagram this week to share a very special memory he has of his late father. And while the Brown family lives differently than many others, Matt Brown’s memory is one that many, many others might share.
The Alaskan Bush People star’s post also included a photo of a rubber ducky. The worn toy is sitting outside on a cloudy day. A bicycle is in the background of the photo. Also, a worn toy fire truck can be seen in the foreground.
Billy Brown passed away in February 2021. He was 68 years old at the time of his death, which was caused by a seizure. In addition to his children, he left behind his wife, Ami Brown.
Matt Brown is not Billy Brown’s only son. In fact, the patriarch of “Alaskan Bush People” was the father of seven children. Matt Brown is the oldest. The other six sons, in order from oldest to youngest, are Bam Bam, Bear, Gabe, Noah, Bird and Rain.

Before the loss of Billy Brown, the Brown family suffered another personal loss. That was in August 2020, when a fire in Palmer destroyed the family’s North Star Ranch and home. It’s located in the North Cascade Mountains of Washington state.
Recently, Noah Brown shared details about his home. Apparently, some have said that the Brown family has moved off the North Star Ranch for good. According to Noah Brown, that’s not the case. He shared his feelings via Instagram.
