If you haven’t heard that right now, the Sussex people have landed in Africa. Two days ago Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and baby Archie left on their South African tour.
Prior to the trip, fans wondered if baby Archie would appear on the royal outings. Because Archie is only four months old, it was unclear whether or not he would follow his mother and father.
But this morning the royal couple shared a video of the newborn who was just too cute to handle. Keep reading to see the royal South African debut of Archie!
What are the Sussexes doing in South Africa?
The Sussex people first announced their trip to South Africa two weeks ago on their Instagram page.
“Today we are excited to announce details for the upcoming tour of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to Africa!” Ringed the announcement.
“In just two weeks their royal highness will begin this official tour, focusing on community, basic leadership, women’s and girls’ rights, mental health, HIV / AIDS and the environment.”
Markle and Harry both have an incredibly complete schedule ahead of them.
“From meeting with Archbishop Desmond Tutu to participating in” Waves for Change “on Monwabisi Beach, the South Africa program will be educational and inspiring,” the post continued.
“The duke is particularly proud to continue his mother’s legacy with her work in Angola, while rejoining Halo Trust in an effort to free the world from landmines.”
“HRH will also travel to Malawi, where he will check in the British Army partnership with African parks and work locally to support local communities.”
Archie’s first appearance in South Africa
Today Harry and Markle took baby Archie to meet with Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
“This morning the duke and duchess were honored to present their son Archie to Archbishop, Desmond Tutu, and his daughter Thandeka,” the royal couple wrote a photo of the meeting.
“The Archbishop, a globally respected figure in the anti-apartheid movement, is one of the world’s greatest champions of equality and has tirelessly fought his life against injustice.”
