Members of the Arsenal team have “serious reservations” about Unai Emery’s ability to make the club title candidates, according to reports.
Emery is under increasing pressure in North London and has guided his Gunners to only two wins in their last nine Premier League games.
Managers, including Jose Mourinho, have been associated with his work, despite Arsenal senior boss Emery recently reassuring that his position is not being threatened at the moment.
And there is the feeling that if Emery fails to turn things around quickly – and fan frustration continues to grow – the board may be forced to take evasive action.
According to the Daily Mail, another thing that goes against Emery is the fact that certain players have “serious reservations” about his methods.
Some players fear that the Spaniard tends to be too conservative in his approach, and this hinders Arsenal’s chances of getting maximum points from games.
The Gunners have thrown away leads this season, especially against Crystal Palace and Watford.
The previous time-out, Arsenal took the lead against Wolves via Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and was ahead of the Emirates for most of the game.
But the home team was again unable to hold their nose and conceded ten minutes before the end, dropping two points.
