Austin Rivers On James Harden's 60 Points In 3 Quarters: 'Name Another Player Who Could Do That'

Harden scored 60 points over the first 3 quarters in the Houston Rockets’ 158-111 win over the Atlanta Hawks. James Harden, who was 2 points shy of a career-high, shot 16-of-24 from the field and 8-of-14 from 3.

The Rockets were up 127-73 at the end of the third.

“What he’s doing has not been seen. My man had 60 and didn’t play the fourth quarter. Name another player who could do that right now,” said Austin Rivers.

Harden joins Kobe Bryant and Klay Thompson as the only two players who have scored 60 points in the first 3 quarters.

Lloyd Pierce said that the Hawks tried to throw a range of defenders James Harden’s direction.

“We try to do what we have to do against James, which is throw a lot of bodies at him. Try and put him under duress. He just didn’t feel us.”

  1. James Harden with the Houston Rockets is killing it! He got 10 3 pointers in two consecutive games. Apparently only one other player has every done that. That record was previously held alone by Stephen Curry with the Golden State Warriors. Those are 2 really talented players.
