Cassie and Colton will consider televising their wedding

Fresh from the Bachelor‘s final, Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph talked quite a lot about engagement.

“If I were a gambler, I would say it would happen within a year. I would definitely say that this year is a good timetable,” Colton told ET last month.

Cassie and Colton chose to opt out of engagement at the end of their bachelor’s trip, moving away from the typical show protocol. They took things at their own pace, Cassie’s pace.

Colton spoke during his season about wanting to get married and settling down. He was even paranoid during filming that there were women who were not ready to get married. Then he fell in love with one of them. During one of their last days in Spain, Cassie told Colton that she wasn’t even sure she was ready for a relationship, let alone an engagement. But Colton was waiting for her. He told her to ignore the expectations of the show. And it worked. Today the couple is very happy together.

“He knew I needed more time,” Cassie told People after the final. “Colton never put pressure on me. I think that’s why we’re still here today, because we’ve done it at our own pace. We didn’t want to drag something that would be forever.”

Despite their talk about marriage shortly after the final, the couple has since withdrawn those statements.

“I think we got rid of it initially, frankly we felt the need to defend [our relationship],” Cassie said in a recent interview with ET. “Yes, we are at this stage, and we wanted everyone to believe in how much we cared, because we did, and we thought that was how we would handle it.”

Cassie and Colton are back to take things at their own pace.

But that does not mean that the marriage is over. It just means they want to get married when they are ready, not just to prove something.

In fact, the couple is open to broadcasting their future wedding.

When Cassie and Colton were in Jenny McCarthy’s SiriusXM show, they were asked if they would ever get married on TV. Colton hesitated to answer and looked at Cassie.

“I would be open to talk about it,” she said. Cassie was asked the same question by Variety a few months ago, but she answered by saying that “it is something we have not really thought about right now.”

Colton added that the couple would be interested in being together in another reality show, but that there is not enough “drama in our relationship to fill a show of our own.”

Cassie and Colton have often spoken recently about wanting to return to a normal routine. They have certainly been busy since the end of The Bachelor. But it certainly seems that the couple has been bitten by the reality TV bug.
