Blue light, coming from all electronics, ensures that your brain does not fall asleep, Oz explained.

Oz advised people to leave their phone at least one hour before bedtime, but if that is not an option, try changing the settings so that the blue light is limited and you can sleep more easily.

Apple users are lucky because iPhones have a “Night Shift” setting that restricts blue light for a certain amount of time. Some Android devices have similar settings, but they are not as universal as for iPhone users.

HOW TO SET IT UP:

Go to the main settings menu, then select ‘Display and brightness’.

Select “Night shift” in the Display and Brightness menu and switch it from off to on.

Set up for sunset to sunrise or set your own schedule. You can also change the “color temperature”, making the display more or less orange in color.
