Jinger Duggar is taking flak for his latest Instagram post. After the Counting On star shared a photo of herself and her husband walking in the rain, some people slammed the seemingly staged photo. They wanted to know who was really taking the seemingly candid photo and hinted that Jinger Duggar was trying too hard to present a perfect image for social media.
Counting On: Jinger Says She Loves Walking İn The Rain
In the April 16th post, Jinger Duggar shared his thoughts on walking in the rain.
“Is there anyone else who loves walking in the rain? “There’s something that really calms me down. Of course, it’s always better when you share a walk with someone you care about very much.”
In the picture, Jinger and her husband Jeremy Vuolo are holding hands as they walk down the street. He holds an umbrella over both their heads.
Counting On: It’s Not Clear When The Photo Was Taken
Although Jinger Duggar has just shared the photo with his 1.3 million Instagram followers, it is not clear when the photo was taken. It didn’t rain for several days in Los Angeles. And neither Jinger Duggar nor Jeremy are wearing the headgear required in the city of Los Angeles since April 9. In other photos they shared recently, the two are wearing masks.
Given the coronavirus blockade, it seems unlikely that Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo hired a photographer to document their walk through the neighborhood. But it’s possible the photo was taken before the pandemic and the couple hired a photographer.
Counting On: People Think Jinger Duggar İs Desperate To Be An İnfluencer
The photo, apparently staged, won’t come as a surprise, counting on observers who have long suspected that Jinger Duggar is trying to build a career as a social media influencer. She shared posts sponsored by Audible and other smaller companies. But she has struggled to keep some of her collaborations going. The deals with clothing brand Rebecca Minkoff and the Fonuts donut shop in Los Angeles fell apart after those companies were banged up for working with the Duggar family, known for their controversial views.
The Vuolo family also redesigned their website, giving it a new look. And her social media has been taken care of more carefully, showing her new life in Los Angeles. Some think Jinger Duggar is updating her image to distance himself from her conservative parents, perhaps with the goal of making money through more sponsored posts. But based on the collaborations that didn’t work, it looks like she may need to change more than her hair or clothes to become an influencer.
