Do Jihoon and Deavan Break Up on 90 Day Fiancé?

Jihoon and Deavan, stars of the hit reality series 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, are still together and going strong, according to Distractify. Deavan now lives in South Korea while the couple is raising their newborn baby and planning the wedding, so it doesn’t look like the couple is falling apart quickly.

Deavan, a 22-year-old single mother, met Jihoon (29) in a dating app. Jihoon flew to meet Deavan in Salt Lake City and the two ended their first night together because of the “strong bond” they felt for each other. That first night Deavan made Jihoon’s baby pregnant, so the reality star started making plans to move to South Korea to be with Jihoon.

Unfortunately, the couple had to deal with some fuss from Jihoon’s parents, who did not approve of Deavan, and told the young couple that they were ashamed that their son got Deavan out of wedlock.

Promos for this 90 Day Fiancé season have given fans a glimpse into the obstacles the couple encountered when they first met. Not only do they have to deal with a considerable language barrier, Jihoon has also admitted in the past that his parents are very traditional and that they do not like having a marriage before marriage or an illegitimate child. Without their blessing, the couple would not be able to marry, Distractify said.

“You are pregnant,” Jihoon tells Deavan in the promo (below). “My father and mother have been embarrassed.” The cameras cut to Deavan, who says, “In fact, I am the worst scenario for your son to marry.”

Although Jihoon eventually introduced Deavan, she still questioned the motives behind the show’s proposal. “I just wonder if you want to marry me because of love and not because I’m just pregnant,” she says in the promo.

Although they faced a few bumps on the road towards the start of their relationship, according to social media the couple seems stronger than ever. Deavan often grumbles about her fiance on Instagram; during a recent Instagram Q&A, Deavan was asked about her favorite place in her South Korea, where the couple lives. The reality star replied: “This man” along with a photo of Jihoon in the background. According to Soap Dirt, Jihoon also visited her a number of times in the United States before the cameras started rolling, so it seems that the feelings were mutual long before TLC started filming.

The couple has remained relatively calm about their personal life on social media (which may be due to contractual obligations with TLC) and the two have yet to announce the gender, name or birthday of their newborn baby, but Deavan has recently taken a photo posted from them kissing each other in an elevator and often post photos of Jihoon on her page.

Tune in tonight at 9/8c to catch 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way on TLC.
