Jennifer Aniston has been one of the beauties of Hollywood for more than two decades, and at the age of 50 she does a lot of work in the kitchen to stay that way.
For breakfast? “When I wake up, I have warm lemon water and then I have a shake or avocado and eggs, which is one of my favorites,” the actress Elle told in 2016. Sometimes she mixes it with “puffed millet grain with a banana” or ” oatmeal with an egg at the end “- a trick she learned from her husband Justin Theroux for some” extra protein “. Her snack contains “maybe an apple and almond butter.”
For lunch it’s all about proteins and vegetables. Aniston told Harper’s Bazaar in 2016 that lunch usually consists of “a salad with proteins” or “a chicken burger wrapped in lettuce.” So what are we eating? Aniston says it’s “probably the same”. Aniston may keep the lettuce industry alive. Respect.
As for her kitchen staples, Aniston told Yahoo! in 2016 her fridge was filled with Tupperware containers with hard-boiled eggs, “a big head of butter lettuce” and a protein such as “pulled chicken”. Her quick meal is pasta carbonara that she makes with eggs, turkey bacon and parmesan cheese. The trick to keep it healthy? “No oil, butter or creams,” she explains, noting that she “uses pasta water to make it juicier.” That’s right, you should never let your pasta run straight into the sink, so that you can preserve that starchy goodness for later.
And if you are a guest in her house, expect to be served a huge portion of “vegetable lasagna” or make your own pizza.
But regardless of which specific food she eats on a given day, the approach to the Friends star in her diet is fairly simple. “I don’t let eating habits get out of hand when I need a reset button,” she explained to Yahoo! in 2016. “My general philosophy is to eat healthily. It’s pretty clear: eat as much organic fruit and vegetables as you can, keep sugar [intake] low, drink tons and tons of water and sleep well.”
