The world has seen Meghan Markle change from a Hollywood actress to a member of the royal family. Although the Duchess of Sussex may have changed her title and place of residence, she has always been a friendly and beautiful person.
Diet and exercise are important components to ensure that you are not only healthy and fit, but also happy. Meghan Markle has revealed that she loves yoga, which is not surprising, since her mother is a yoga instructor. But exercise is only part of a healthy lifestyle, nutrition is just as important. So what does the Duchess of Sussex eat and what are some of her favorite dishes?
The Duchess used to have a blog
Long before she met Prince Harry, Meghan Markle had a lifestyle blog called “The Tig.” She came up with the name for the blog after she had an ‘aha’ moment while drinking an Italian wine called Tignanello.
Although the site is no longer active, Markle has regularly posted on ‘The Tig’. The blog was completely deleted after Markle started dating Harry, but a few revealing posts were restored by royal followers using internet archiving tools.
Markle’s posts contain different topics, but often the future Duchess wrote about what she eats and offers recipes to her readers. What does the Meghan diet look like? While she was in Suits, the former actress would start her day with water and lemon. She would accompany that with chopped steel oats, bananas and agave. For lunch she enjoyed salad and quinoa or fish and chips when she went out to eat.
What is Meghan’s favorite meal?
As an actress, there were many foods that the former Suits star really enjoyed, but one that was her favorite. Markle revealed that she likes good pasta. One of her dishes was pasta with a creamy sauce made from zucchini. The zucchini is slowly cooked for about four hours and then added to the pasta and topped with parmesan cheese. Markle insists that you would think the sauce was full of butter.
Another pasta dish that Markle loves is macaroni and cheese. As an actress, Markle Annie’s ate macaroni and cheese in boxes. As a duchess, we should think things have changed a bit, but the royal couple have not hired a personal chef at their home in Frogmore Cottage, so macaroni with boxes and cheese may very well be a favorite for the family.
Is Meghan Markle vegan?
It is a fact that baby Archie will be the first royal baby to be raised vegan. It is uncertain whether the small mother’s mother is completely vegan, but we do know that Meghan is trying to eat healthy if she can.
In an interview from 2015, Markle told Best Health Magazine that she is trying to eat vegan during the week. She also stays away from gluten and notes that she has noticed that her body reacts negatively to certain foods.
While telling the magazine that she eats vegan throughout the week, she also admitted that some of her favorite foods were seafood, sushi, roasted chicken, and an egg omelet.
In the same interview, she admitted that she doesn’t like to remember certain foods and says, “Because I work like this, I never want to feel robbed. I feel that the second thing you do is when you start binging things.” It is not a diet; it is lifestyle food. “
The duchess has not opened herself to her diet since she joined the royal family, but we must imagine that she would accompany her son to eat a vegan diet.
