Winter is here.
First daughter Ivanka Trump shared a picture on Saturday of a cute, snow-white puppy that she bought for the 8th birthday of daughter Arabella.
“Meet Winter, Arabella’s birthday dream comes true and the newest member of the Kushner family!” Ivanka, 37, wrote on Instagram about the gift for her daughter, whose birthday was last Wednesday.
The image of the new pet, completely white and with piercing eyes, brought a stream of praise and admiration in the comments.
But it also led to a fierce debate … about exactly what Winter is.
There were votes for an American Eskimo, Samoyed and Alaskan Klee Kai, but with different breeders it was said that it was a Pomsky, a cross between a Siberian Husky and a Pomeranian.
There were also some sneaky political gibes among the streaming messages. “I would put him in a cage,” wrote nmc385 in a clear attack on the supposed “children in cages” conditions for immigrants on the border.
Ivanka’s father, President Trump, is not known as a dog lover and broke with tradition by entering the White House without a pet.
He previously lived with a poodle, Chappy, with his first wife, Ivana, who wrote in her memoirs that “Donald was not a dog lover,” according to CNN – adding that Chappy “had an equal dislike of Donald.”
