James Middleton is reportedly engaged to girlfriend Alizee Thevenet.
Kate Middleton’s younger brother, 32, personally introduced Thevenet, a French financial analyst based in London, according to the Daily Mail, who added that he is ready to formally announce the good news next week.
“They keep the engagement secret, but news is starting to leak out among their friends,” one of their friends told the outlet, adding that Thevenet “wore a beautiful sapphire star” on her finger.
Although the couple has largely withheld their romance, James brought Thevenet to a family vacation in St. Barts with James’ sister Pippa (36) and her husband James Matthews in January.
The couple was previously seen together in December 2018, when they went to the Christmas Carol Service of the Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund in St. Luke’s Church.
During the summer, James also shared a candid photo of his golden retriever Mabel who jumped excitedly into the pool while Thevenet wore a red bikini.
“I had the opportunity to grow up in six different countries: Germany, Indonesia, Chile, France, Belgium and England,” Thevenet said on her LinkedIn profile, describing herself as a “multinational background”.
In 2018, James’ mother Carole Middleton opened her hope for her son’s love life with the British newspaper The Telegraph, who said she once hoped to have a ‘beautiful daughter-in-law’.
“I’m absolutely hands-on. I don’t find it complicated,” Carole said about her approach to motherhood. “My biggest fear [when her children grew up] was that I would lose my family, but we stayed close. There are times when they say, “Can you do this or that?” And I can’t quite do it. But they like it that I work. I have two lovely sons-in-law and I hope I have a lovely daughter-in-law. “
James previously dated actress Donna Air, who is seven years older and has a daughter named Freya.
Of course, James’ wedding is not the only wedding on the royal calendar!
The news of James’ reported proposal comes just over a week after Princess Beatrice announced her engagement with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
The Queen’s granddaughter, 31, announced her engagement to the multi-millionaire owned tycoon on Sept. 26 in a statement released by Buckingham Palace.
“We are both so excited to embark on this life adventure together and can’t wait to get married,” the couple said in a statement.
According to the palace, Mozzi suggested Beatrice during a vacation in Italy in August. The couple traveled to Italy for the wedding of their friend Misha Nonoo in Rome, where Princess Eugenie, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were also present.
