Kate Middleton Channels Princess Diana at Order of the Garter 2019

The Order of the Garter takes place annually, which is described on the website of the royal family as “the oldest and most senior knightly order in Britain” and is regularly attended by several members of the royal family.

Although the Duchess of Cambridge was absent from the Order of the Garter Ceremony of 2018, in 2019 she was given a chic appearance alongside her husband, Prince William. And most strikingly, the Duchess Kate’s white fur dress had channeled a look that Princess Diana wore in 1995.

In August 1995, Princess Diana attended the sons, Prince Harry and Prince William, in VJ Day, the 50-year anniversary. Diana wore a white two-piece skirt suit with navy piping. She completed the look with a pair of navy and white pumps, a matching hat and a beautiful set of pearls.

Kate’s Order of the Garter 2019 look had so much in common with the Princess Diana outfit in 1995. For example, Kate’s white Catherine Walker Liza jacket had piping and the duchess had embellished her appearance with a striking pair of pearl drop earrings. She completed her outfit with a Lock & Co. hat and a black clutch.
