Kate Middleton ‘sacrificed herself’ to marry William claims Diana biographer

Kate Middleton gave up her independence for conformity to be with Prince William, a royal biographer claims.

Some friends of the Duchess of Cambridge thought she had traded in “adventure” for “safety” when she dedicated herself to the royal family, claims Andrew Morton.

The writer, who famously wrote the biography “Diana: Her True Story,” said “the victim” of the romantic reunion between Kate and William was “Kate himself.”

Mr. Morton, in his 2011 “William and Catherine” book, talked about how Kate had to “give up” her independence when she returned with William after their brief breakup.

He wrote: “There was, however, one victim of this romantic reunion: Kate herself.”

Morton claims that some of her friends thought, “She gave up independence for conformity and adventure for safety,” according to the Express.

During the 2007 split with William, Kate had trained to participate in a women-only boat race.

But she reportedly called it off at the last minute as they revitalized their relationship.

Morton, who has published biographies of royal figures and celebrities such as Tom Cruise and Angelina Jolie, said, “When she retreated in August with a dragon boat race with only one week to go, their greatest fears were confirmed.”

Mr. Morton claimed that some of Kate’s friends were really relieved when the couple had a break.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been married for eight years so far and have welcomed three children together.

They will spend half the break with George, Charlotte and Louis after they have decided to keep their diaries open for school holidays.
