We have gone through 15 seasons of the cult phenomenon. Keeping up with the Kardashians. We have looked at every meltdown on earrings, every break, every make-up and more. And because of all this we have had one resounding question: “Is this real?”
Seriously, with the Kardashians, there is always some drama that rivals that of Grey’s Anatomy. And while that makes great television, the idea that it all happens naturally is completely insane. Nobody’s life is so interesting and full of sticky situations, no matter how much money they have.
What do the Kardashians say about their show being scripted?

The Kardashians have never admitted that their program is written and why should they? Part of the appeal of the show is the voyeuristic aspect. People like to take a look behind the headlines and in the lives of the famous sisters. So if they admitted that everything was made up and rehearsed, they would probably lose many viewers.
Although the sisters themselves have never admitted anything, there are some scenes allegedly scripted, re-filmed or edited.
Which scenes of ‘Keeping up with the Kardashians’ were edited?

Everyone who has watched the show for a while, remembers the short period in which Kim married basketball player Kris Humphries. During their divorce session, Russell Jay, a producer of the show, admitted several scenes that were not organic.
According to the documents obtained by Life and Style, Kim already knew the surprise proposal from Kris. Which means that the shock on her face was a complete act. She also re-recorded the scene when she didn’t like her reaction the first time around.

“Kim told Kris how, where and when he would introduce her, it was absolutely no surprise to her,” a source once told Radar Online. “First of all, Kris suggested mid-day, and he had to do that because it would create better lighting to capture the moment.”
The proposal was not at all what Humphries wanted.
“Kris wanted it to be very intimate and romantic, but all his ideas were shot by production officials and Kim.”

That was not the only moment of their relationship that was made up at the show. Do you remember when Kim Kris confided to Jenner that she was struggling with her marriage to Humphries? Well, in reality that was filmed after Kim filed for divorce, so she had already told her mother before the scene was ever filmed.
There was another scene in which Kim became angry with Humphries for throwing a party in their hotel room while she was supposedly traveling. Kim was actually at the hotel during the party and the whole scene was made just for the drama.
The Kardashians approve everything
According to an interview with Piers Morgan in 2011, the Kardashian women can edit all images of the show.
“From the beginning, they have always said we have the right to edit and approve all images,” Kim told Morgan.
Which means that the women probably only broadcast things that put them in a good light.
