Kevin Hart, passengers in car crash prep for lawsuit over vintage ride

Kevin Hart, as well as passengers in his doomed 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, are lawyering up.

The comedian takes heat from those injured in the Sept. 1 crash, including the driver and a second passenger, who say Hart has shown negligence for not having critical safety features such as airbags and safety harnesses, according to a TMZ report.

The missing protections – standard in more modern vehicles – were not common in the 1970s, so Hart reportedly passed them on for an extra bit of authenticity.

The bodybuilder who designed the Hart car may also be on hook to let the modified task pass, TMZ reported, saying that a negligence claim can be rooted in the bodywork company’s decision to continue with the task despite the lack of modern safety measures in the powerful 720 hp motor vehicle.
