Kristin Cavallari fired a social media employee after an insensitive post went viral around 9/11.
The reality star, 32, joined the employee after the employee posted a sexy photo of Cavallari on Wednesday with the caption ‘NYC for 24 hours. And what a time to be here … always remember, “an insider told page Six.
Wednesday marked 18 years since September 11, 2001, attacks.
“Wrong photo for sentiment in the mail,” said an Instagram user in the photo, showing Cavallari in a low-cut blazer without a bra.
“Bad taste,” said another.
“This is super insensitive,” wrote a third person.
The Instagram caption has since been changed to read: “NYC for 24 hours.”
We are told that Cavallari and her team sent the photo of her appearance to promote her new collaboration with Daltile on Tuesday night with the caption “24 hours in New York City” – but the employee took it upon himself to change the image with a custom caption without the knowledge of Cavallari and while she was in a fitting on Wednesday morning.
It is unclear how long the employee has been working.
The founder of the unusual James told page six in March that she hates firing people.
“There is nothing comfortable about firing anyone,” Cavallari told page six earlier. “I fired my first person not too long ago and I really felt that I would surrender. I hate to do it. I didn’t have to do it that often – let’s clear that up. But I had to do a few and it is terrible. It’s extremely difficult and I really don’t want to be part of it. “
