Kristin Cavallari says Jay Cutler unclogged her milk ducts by ‘sucking’

Breastfeeding comes with a lot of effort and desperate times often call for desperate measures, especially if those measures bring relief. And nobody knows this better than a certain reality TV star. Recently Kristin Cavallari revealed that Jay Cutler sucked her clogged chest channels when she was confronted with a fairly painful situation. Talk about a superman, right?

On Cavallari’s E! reality show, Very Cavallari, she doesn’t really hold anything back. At her show, 32-year-old Cavallari often becomes honest about her life as a mother of three. And in a preview for an upcoming episode of Very Cavallari, as In Style reported, Cavallari shared a very funny and cheeky honest story about breastfeeding and how she had hidden breast ducts while breastfeeding their children. And to solve the problem, Cavallari relied on the help of her husband and, well, his super suction.

“I would like large hidden channels,” says Cavallari. “Jay had to take them out for me. Suck harder than he ever sucked.” Cavallari added, “You know what? Saved my life.”

Whatever the job is right, right?

Some things people do for love, and this is definitely one of them. Kudos to Cutler for stepping up for his wife while dealing with a painful dilemma.

Cavallari probably suffered from a common breastfeeding battle called mastitis. According to The Mayo Clinic, mastitis causes inflammation in the breast tissue that can sometimes lead to an infection.

“If a breast does not completely empty during feeding, one of your milk ducts may become clogged,” The Mayo Clinic explains. “The blockage causes milk to back up, leading to breast infection … Stagnant milk in an unguided breast forms a breeding ground for the bacteria.”

People on Twitter really like this story, probably because it is both hilarious and very relatable for fellow parents. And, TBH, Cutler does everything to help his wife, perhaps the next big meme, guys …

Cavallari and Culter are parents of three children; 6-year-old son, Camden, 4-year-old son, Jaxon and 3-year-old daughter Saylor James, according to People. And since Cavallari breastfed at three different times, it is likely that she has had quite a lot of breastfeeding over the years.

Now, if Cavallari did not want or could not hire her husband to help with this dilemma, there are a few solutions that she could have tried out. According to What To Expect, mothers with clogged canals may try to pump to release the clogged breast canal, switch to their breastfeeding position, or apply a warm compress to the clog to help milk flow. And according to WebMd, mastitis is a fairly common condition in breastfeeding women and can be painful, so Culter was grateful to offer his wife some relief.

Really, Cutler’s ability to help his wife during such a difficult time is pretty admirable at the end, don’t you think? You have to give him to step on the plate and “suck harder than he ever sucked.”
