Little People, Big World fans know all about Matt Roloff and Amy Roloff’s divorce. After 30 years of marriage, the former couple finalised their divorce in May 2016.

Now Matt Roloff and Amy Roloff are both in a new relationship. Matt is dating Caryn Chandler, while Amy is engaged to Chris Marek. Amy Roloff and Chris Marek will be married later this year.

Although things seem to be going well in their personal lives, they had some issues to resolve and had to decide what to do about the farm. It was a big piece of both of their lives and a big part of the series. So how did the sale go and how much did it cost Matt Roloff?

In June 2019, Amy Roloff sold part of her farm to Matt Roloff for $667,000, RadarOnline.com reports. She later decided to sell 32.28 acres of land for $975,000 on August 13, 2020, an Oregon court confirmed to The Sun. To do so, Matt had to take out an $825 000 loan.

In the last episode, Amy Roloff opened up about her feelings about leaving the farm. Because it’s been such a big part of her life, it wasn’t easy. During filming, she still owned her share of the farm. She explained how she felt, saying: “Matt approached me on this second time to buy me out and this was definitely a better time because now that I’m in my new house, there’s not as much grey area anymore. It’s like, this was this chapter. I have no part in the farm with this chapter. It’s changed.”

Matt Roloff is now planning to go ahead with the farm. But eventually he will have to retire and let one of his children take over the farm. In a recent interview, he talked about his retirement plans and his hopes for the future of the farm.

He points out that his children could come together to run the farm, using their individual talents. At the moment there is no clear plan for the farm. So we will have to wait and see what happens to the Roloff farm in the future.
