In just a few weeks, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will leave Kensington Palace and move to their new Windsor residence.
A royal source and friend of the couple say they hope to “do their own thing” after making the move to Frogmore Cottage, and describe life in Kensington Palace as living in a “fish bowl”.
The duke and duchess reportedly spent £ 3 million (AUD $ 5.5) on renovating their new home.
The source says that Meghan and Harry are looking forward to setting up a house away from other royals. The
Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also reside at Kensington Palace, EE Princess Eugenie of York and her husband Jack Brooksbank.
The source tells PEOPLE Meghan and Harry Glass their move as a “healthy thing to do”.

“It must be nice to leave,” they said.
“Without neighbors who are all family or staff [at Kensington Palace], they will now have their own thing.”
The Queen is a regular visitor to Windsor, where she has a home, just a short walk from Frogmore Cottage.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were supposed to have moved to their new homes in the meantime, but due to constant changes in the design they could not move until next month.
