MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry break off from the Fab Four because they “don’t stand in line” and are “checked” by Prince William, according to a royal expert.
In the latest development of the alleged royal break, the Sussexes are about to break free from the joint charity of the couples, the Royal Foundation, today.
Royal commentator Duncan Larcombe said the move shows that Meghan, 37 and Prince Harry, 34, like “doing things their way.”
He said to Fabulous Digital: “It seems strange. Why divorce if you both have the same causes? Whether this is a sign of a breach, this is certainly a sign of a division.
“Obviously, Meghan and Harry were initially prepared to slide under the wings of William and Kate, but that’s not how they feel a year later.”
The young members of the royal family were called the “Fab Four” after appearing on stage together last spring for the first Q&A forum of their charity – in what was to be an annual event.
But just a few months after their first – and only – joint appearance, The Sun revealed that the two couples go their own way and pursue their charities separately.
Duncan said, “Harry is going to forge his own way with Meghan. For years, before meeting Meghan, he was the royal gooseberry that stood behind William and Kate.
“He is now a full-time working royal with his wife, he wants autonomy over what he does, how he does it and how she does it, what a definitive change is how it was 12 months ago.”
An insider from the palace told the Sunday Times: “William has good control and he was in control when it was just the three of them, but now he is not.”
She added that Meghan “knows all the tricks” and helps Harry to maximize their “standable brand” and that William has to get used to it.
Duncan repeated these thoughts and said, “Meghan and Harry will not be controlled by William. They are going to do it their way, and there is room for them to do that.”
Royal assistants soon pointed out that it is not the end for those who work together on individual projects.
But it is a big blow to the Royal Foundation, which Meghan only officially joined after her wedding last May, who was planning to use the star of all four.
And it comes after Harry and Meghan separated from the household of Kate and William in Kensington Palace to establish their own.
According to the Sunday Times, Kate, William and Harry’s previous private secretary, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, said the brothers were supposed to “work together” fully.
Duncan said the Royal Foundation was proof of the intention for a united William and Harry working relationship.
He said, “It was absolutely the goal for the brothers to” fully cooperate. “
“Why would they have set up the Fab Four foundation unless it was intended to work together?
“But what we have seen since Harry and Meghan became engaged, and certainly since the wedding, is that they actually have their own opinion about how they want to do things.
“They want to be independent, they have their own press agencies, they have separated themselves from Kensington Palace, they have moved to Windsor.
“There are all these signals that show what the plan was, it was not set in stone and a major review was made.”
Today’s Royal Foundation board meeting is expected to confirm the split and Duncan said that each division could be beneficial to charities that support them separately.
He said the two dukes offer different coverage for organizations, and added, “William is the man if you want someone to come and open an estate.
“Harry is the one if you want someone to laugh and have a lot of fun and get a lot of media attention. They have different things to offer charities.”
A royal source said earlier that a working split had helped to ease the relationship between Harry and William.
They noted: “Things went very badly between the brothers and they did not see each other privately a few months after the royal wedding.
“Certainly the hostility about status, money and Meghan meant that the split in their joint households had to be implemented much faster than expected, so perhaps it was inevitable that their joint charity also had to be distributed.
“Meghan and Harry want to do things differently than William and Kate. William is the future king and is therefore sometimes limited in what he can do.
“The Sussexes want the flexibility of more commercial decisions. But the relationship of the brothers has improved enormously since their working life was divorced.”
Wills and Harry founded the Royal Foundation in 2009 to run all their charity campaigns and friends.
Kate then joined when she became Duchess of Cambridge in 2011.
They would often appear as a trio at events, and the Foundation had huge successes with projects such as the Invictus Games for Veterinary Veterans and the Heads Together campaign for mental health.
Buckingham Palace declined to comment when contacted by Fabulous Digital.
Meghan Markle is said to be nicknamed “degree woman” by senior royal who claims that her marriage to Prince Harry “will only last three years.”
Last November, The Sun exclusively revealed that Meghan Markle “left Kate Middleton in tears” because of her strict demands on Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress.
Meanwhile, one of Prince Harry’s former friends, Lizzie Cundy, claimed earlier this year that Meghan Markle has driven Prince Harry’s friends away since moving to Frogmore Cottage.
