Meghan Markle stepped in on Wednesday to support Prince Harry during a charity pool event with their son, Archie Harrison, in tow.
It was the first outing since the 2-month-old baby boy was baptized at a private ceremony on Saturday.
The Duchess of Sussex kept Archie the whole game while watching her sister-in-law Kate Middleton, who was there with her three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, to see how Prince William participated in the game.
Meghan Markle, 37 years old, is a mother for the first time and is already the victim of online shooters, who criticize her for holding her son.
“She doesn’t know how to hold the poor thing,” one user wrote.
Another said, “Can someone show Meghan how to hold a baby?”
“Meghan doesn’t look good to hold her baby, it doesn’t look natural at all! Does she know how to hold her two-month baby? ” wrote a third commenter.
But many other mothers and women without children came to Markle’s defense.
“Protective mothers are holding their baby so that I only hear [sic] for the love I have for Meghan and Harry and baby Archie,” one user said.
“I am not a mother, but I cannot tolerate women abusing other women.” Poor Meghan can’t even hold baby Archie without “The Perfect Mums” coming out and criticizing her, “another wrote.
“All this shaming of Meghan Markle goes beyond pathetic, whatever she does is wrong in the eyes of some.” The last fact that she can’t hold her own baby properly, “someone else said.
The audience got a look at the face of little Archie when the Sussexes brought pictures from the baptism of the baby. Kate and Prince William were present, as were Markle’s mother Doria Ragland, Prince Charles, his wife Camilla and the two sisters of Princess Diana – Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale.

The family has revealed that they will not announce who the godparents of Archie are.
Archie was born on May 6 and is the seventh in line at the British throne.
