The estranged half-brother of Meghan Markle cashes in on his family ties by playing in a new Big Apple ad – as a thief stealing from the royal family, The Post has learned.
Thomas Markle Jr. shows the 30-second place for the Queens-based wholesaler Classic New York Beer. – arrested earlier this year for a DUI – in a completely black getup breaking into “Buckingham Palace”.
He grabs the crown of Queen Elizabeth II, but then sees a cupboard with branded brew and also takes the bottles with him, according to the company’s CEO, Billie Mitchell, who wrote the script and revealed the details to The Post.
That’s when a royal guard with a red bear’s skin runs in a shout: “Drop everything!”
Markle releases the crown – but keeps the beer. He throws a bottle of liquor downwards as an obstacle for the guard, who eagerly grabs it and drinks it down.
The Duchess of Sussex is also featured – but by a similar actress, Renee Wood, who sits in the back seat of a Rolls Royce escape car, wears a tiara and jewelery, and waits eagerly for her co-conspirator.
When Markle opens the door of the car and jumps into the back seat, the Duchess character asks if he could get the “jewels”.
He says he has picked up something better – and takes out two bottles of Classic New York Beer.
“Priceless!” Says the Meghan Markle character while the couple rattles the bottles.
Markle – who participated in a DUI diversion program in March after being caught for driving under the influence of alcohol in Oregon – has already caused some chaos for his estranged half-sister, who he once struck as “fake.”
Last April he wrote a letter warning Prince Harry that his marriage to Meghan at the time would be “the biggest mistake in the history of the royal wedding.” He was not invited to the wedding. He then called on the queen to heal the gap between Meghan Markle and her father’s side of the family.
But Markle believes that even the royal family should get a kick out of the advertisement
“I don’t think anyone would be upset about it. It won’t hurt anyone,” he told The Post on Sunday.
“Renee has done great as Meghan,” said Markle. “It was a bit comical. That was the point. “
Markle met Mitchell and the founder and president of the company, Sir Gary Kong, six months ago during a celebrity boxing match in Atlantic City and later contacted him to pitch the satirical spot.
“Gary and I just loved Tom’s energy and humor,” Mitchell said. “He’s a really good guy who gets a bum rap in the press because he’s alienated from his sister who is now a” royal “.”
Markle would not say how much he is paid for his performance as a pitchman for Classic New York.
