Miley Cyrus and Kaitlynn Carter have gone their own way.
The singer “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” and the star of The Hills: New Beginnings have stopped dating after almost two months of dating, a source tells ET.
“Miley and Kaitlynn are no longer romantically together. They’ve been there recently through difficult times, but decided to be the best to be friends,” the source says.
The news comes a week after the two were spotted in cozy outfits while on the road in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, Carter, 31, appeared on Friday during the pre-Emmy party of Entertainment Weekly at the Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood. An eyewitness tells ET that the reality star was seen socially with friends within the party. The eyewitness says that Cyrus was not at the party.
Cyrus and Carter were first caught during their trip to Italy on photos that ET had obtained on 10 August. Shortly thereafter, Cyrus’ representative confirmed that she and her many years of love, Liam Hemsworth, were divorced after less than a year of marriage, and after ten years of dating on and off. Hemsworth officially filed a divorce on August 21.
“Miley asked for a break and wanted to look for soul and realized she was unhappy,” a source told ET earlier about the disintegration of Cyrus and Hemsworth. “Miley’s parents have been helpful. They just want her to be happy. “
The news of the disintegration of Cyrus and Hemsworth came a week after Carter announced that she was saying goodbye to her old love Brody Jenner. Since then, Cyrus and Carter have been regularly spotted together and have shared a number of flirty messages on social media.
