'My 600-lb Life' Star Milla Clark's Inspiring Weight Loss Journey

Milla Clark, who starred in the fourth season of TLC’s ‘My 600-lb Life,’ has one of the most inspiring success stories in the show’s history. Milla, who had been bedridden for over two years due to a lymphedema, decided to seek help from the renowned bariatric surgeon, Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, AKA Dr. Now, and moved from Tennessee to Houston to start his weight loss program.

At the start of her weight loss journey, Milla Clark weighed 751 pounds. However, she lost 110 pounds, which enabled Dr. Now to remove her lymphedema, which weighed 43 pounds. After Milla lost a total of 153 pounds, Dr. Now approved her for weight loss surgery, but she was afraid to undergo the high-risk procedure, fearing that she might leave her children parentless.

Milla’s husband, Elroy, passed away due to a heart attack during the filming of ‘My 600-lb Life: Where Are They Now?,’ which devastated her. Despite the setback, Milla continued with her weight loss journey and eventually underwent a successful gastric sleeve procedure by Dr. Now, after losing a total of 274 pounds, and weighed 477 pounds.

However, after the surgery, Milla Clark was still unable to stand, which made her quit Dr. Now’s program and move back to Tennessee with her children, who became her caretakers again. Milla eventually went back to Dr. Now’s program, and he approved her for her second skin removal surgery to help her stand and start walking again.

Milla Clark had to stay in Houston for two months for the surgery, which separated her from her children. After the surgery, Milla surprised her children by getting up and walking with a walker after seven years of being bedridden. She also underwent a knee replacement surgery to enable her to walk on her own.

Milla Clark’s hard work paid off, as she lost a total of 596 pounds and weighed 156 pounds at the end of her ‘My 600-lb Life’ episodes. Her success story inspired many fans of the show, and Milla has kept them updated on her weight loss journey through her active presence on social media. Her Facebook page has many pictures and life updates about her and her children.

Milla also found love and began dating James, whom she met on a dating site. Her children were present on their date because she wanted him to know how important they are to her. According to her Facebook page, they are still together today.

Milla’s journey shows that with determination and hard work, it’s possible to overcome even the most challenging obstacles in life. Her story is a reminder that we can all make positive changes in our lives, no matter how difficult it may seem.
