Narcan being sold in vending machines in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KABC) – Vending machines in Las Vegas now sell more than just snacks and drinks. Some now also sell Narcan.

The nasal spray blocks the effects of opioids on the body and in some cases can prevent a life-threatening overdose.

Nevada health representatives say that the easy availability of Narcan makes a difference with opioid addiction in Vegas.

The machines will eventually also sell other health-related items such as: hygiene kits, safe sex equipment and pregnancy tests.
