Nick Cannon has praised his daughter Monroe for her connection with her mother, Mariah Carey. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the comedian spoke about a TikTok video featuring Monroe and Mariah, as well as Kim Kardashian and her daughter North West.
The video showed Monroe and North dancing and lip-syncing to Mariah’s song “It’s A Wrap,” while their mothers joined in with hairbrushes as microphones. Nick revealed that he produced the song with Mariah and that it made the moment even more special.
Nick also spoke about Monroe’s natural talent as a performer and her love for her mother’s music. She has showcased her singing abilities by joining her mother on-stage at some of her Christmas concerts and lip-syncing and dancing to her mother’s hits on social media.
Nick called their mother and daughter bond “beautiful” and praised the fact that they get to have fun with each other.
Monroe is one of two children that Nick and Mariah Carey share, and Nick has a total of 12 children with different women. Despite their divorce in 2016, it is clear that Nick and Mariah are on good terms, and he is proud of his daughter’s talent and connection with her mother.
