Nicolas Cage reportedly applied for annulment from his new wife, just four days after he was photographed to get married in Las Vegas.
Cage, the 55-year-old actor who won an Oscar for best actor for the 1995 film Leaving Las Vegas, was caught on camera earlier this week to apply for a marriage license from his girlfriend, makeup artist Erika Koike, with whom he is dating was about a year.
On Saturday morning, late in the video, Cage saw the Clark County Court House Wedding License in Las Vegas. He followed his girlfriend, hands on his hips, and muttered to himself.
On Thursday, however, TMZ reported that Cage had applied for a cancellation, and this is supported by Nevada Court documents.
Cage apparently has requested a divorce if a cancellation is not possible.
Cage and Koike were first spotted together in April 2018, and were supposed to have met when he was filming in Puerto Rico. Since then, they have been photographed together occasionally, but have largely remained outside the spotlight. It remains to be seen whether Cage and Koike are still dating.
Apart from this short-lived marriage, Nicolas Cage was married and divorced on three different occasions; he was with Alice Kim from 2004 to 2016, with whom he has one child in Kal-El Coppola Cage, born in 2005.
Cage was also married to actress Patricia Arquette from 1995 to 2001, and also had a brief relationship with Lisa-Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley, with whom he had been married for only three months.
