Paul Staehle and Karine Martins, stars of the hit reality series 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, welcomed their son Pierre Martins Staehle to the world earlier this year. The couple lived most of her pregnancy in the homeland of Karine in Brazil, but recently moved back to the US to be closer to Paul’s family in Kentucky.
Pierre was born in Brazil before the small family of three moved to Kentucky; Paul’s mother was able to meet her grandson before the family returned to the United States. This is what we know about the Paul and Karine family:
Paul Wanted Karine to get a Paternity Test When Karine Revealed She Was Pregnant
Fans were not sure what to expect after the couple announced Karine was pregnant, because there was some tension between the two by the end of the last 90 Day Fiancé season. On the 90-day fiancé: for the 90-day ‘couples told everything’ specially last year, the two revealed that Karine was pregnant, and that Paul wanted the child to get a paternity DNA test once he was born.
They also received some recoil after Paul placed a link to a fundraiser to encourage fans to send baby gifts for their son. Earlier this year, Paul told fans that the couple accepted digital gifts as part of an “online baby shower,” which was quickly reclaimed by fans accusing the pair of “begging” fans for money and gifts. Paul explained that he put the baby shower together for fans who asked if they could send gifts for the baby, but he encouraged fans to donate to needy goals if they were looking to save a life.
Karine Had Suffered Several Miscarriages Before Pierre
Karine tragically suffered two miscarriages for her healthy, full-term pregnancy with Pierre. The show documented one of the miscarriages and Paul revealed that she had contracted a second shortly thereafter.
“The miscarriages were something we will never forget,” Paul told Cosmopolitan. “It brought us even closer when we put arguments and disagreements next to each other to comfort each other. It is a tragic moment of life that no one should endure.”
Although the doctors wanted the couple to wait at least six months after their last miscarriage to try again, Karine became pregnant again for that six-month period, so they were even more concerned about Pierre’s loss. Fortunately Karine was able to carry Pierre in the long term, and they now have a happy, handsome baby.
Pierre Was Born at 3:20 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019
Pierre Martins Staehle was born at 3.20 p.m. on Friday, March 22, 2019, it weighs £ 6.9 and measures 19.7 inches.
“I am very happy, very excited,” said Paul Entertainment Weekly. “I am also very nervous and want to do everything I can and do everything well. Everyone keeps asking how it feels to be a father. Anyone can make a baby, but going through the daily process of being a father will bring a new one experience. I am very happy, very honored and very privileged and I want to make sure that I do my best for Pierre. “
Paul & Karine Used a Translating App When They First Met & Recently Relocated Back to the U.S.
Paul and Karine appeared on seasons 1 and 2 of 90 Day Fiancé before playing on the spin-off The Other Way. The couple met online and Paul traveled to Brazil to meet his future bride, and although the couple had to communicate via a translation app, they quickly fell in love and married shortly thereafter. However, because Paul could not afford Karine’s visa – and because his mother did not agree to become her co-sponsor – he had to move to Brazil to be with her.
It appears that the couple is now back in the United States after having worked tirelessly for months to get Karine’s visa approved. According to Screen Rant, the reality pair leaves hints on social media that they may be back in the United States and live in Louisville, Paul’s hometown. Screen Rant reports that a number of Instagram photos (via 90 Day Fiance News) have been posted in the stories of Karine who visits her, Paul and their son, at local attractions in Kentucky.
