Pink called critics accused of “bullying” Meghan Markle and Prince Harry on Monday, just after Elton John and Ellen DeGeneres defended the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on Twitter.
Meghan and Harry, who preach about nature conservation and the environment, came under fire because allegedly using a private jet four times in 11 days for vacations in Spain and France.
“I’m happy to see people coming to defend The Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” tweeted Pink. “The way people treat her is the most public form of bullying I’ve seen in a while. It got out of hand. “
The singer added, “Let’s all be a little friendlier, right? Let’s show our children that it’s cool to be nice. “

The message of the “Walk Me Home” singer reflected that of her friend Ellen DeGeneres, who spoke about her own relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex while defending them.
“Portia and I met Prince Harry and Meghan in England to talk about their conservation work,” tweeted the comedian Monday and called the pair “the most sober, compassionate people.”
“Imagine being attacked for everything you do while only trying to improve the world,” DeGeneres wrote next to a photo of the couple.
Elton John, who was a close friend of the late Princess Diana and has remained friends over the years with the royal family, also defended Harry and Meghan for flying a jet to stay with his family at home in Nice, France.
“I deeply respect and appreciate Harry and Meghan‘s commitment to charity and I call on the press to stop these relentless and untrue murders of their character being falsely committed on an almost daily basis,” John wrote about the couple is on vacation.
The singer also said that he and his husband, David Furnish, were the ones who flew the couple out, though they made sure their flight was CO2 neutral.
The duke and duchess have other things to focus on in the coming weeks. Harry and Meghan are going to South Africa this fall with their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The Duke of Sussex will also visit Angola, Malawi and Botswana, according to a press release from Buckingham Palace.
“The duke and duchess are really looking forward to meeting so many of you in the field and continuing to raise awareness of the great impact of local communities in the Commonwealth and beyond,” read a caption from the Sussex Royal Instagram account shortly after trip was announced in June.
