Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are about to take a six-week break from their royal life to visit the US with their son Archie. According to a new report, the Sussex people can extend their stay to spend Christmas with Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland.
Prince Harry and Markle will be on an extended break
It was recently announced that Prince Harry and Markle will soon be leaving for the US and taking a six-week break from royal duties to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with Markle’s mother in California. It was believed that the Sussexes would return to spend Christmas Day with Queen Elizabeth and the royal family in Sandringham.
Their break comes after the couple’s emotional interviews during the documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, in which they opened about the research they’ve experienced in the spotlight.
Markle shared in an interview: “Every woman, especially if she is pregnant, you are really vulnerable and so that became a real challenge. And then when you have a newborn, you know … especially as a woman, it really is, it is a lot, so you add this on top of just trying to be a new mother or trying to be a newlywed, yes, I guess. ”
Markle added: ‘And thanks for asking, because not many people have asked if I am okay. But it is very real to continue behind the scenes. “
During the documentary, Prince Harry also admitted that the feud rumors about him and his brother Prince William are true, and stated: “Part of this role and part of this job and this family that is under pressure that it is under. … inevitably, you know, things happen. “
He admitted that they are “on different paths right now” and shared “like brothers, you have good days and you have bad days.”
They may stay in the US through Christmas
Although it is not yet confirmed, it is rumored that the Sussex people will stay in the United States until Christmas Day.
Hello! magazine first reported the possibility of Prince Harry and Markle extending their stay for Christmas, but a senior palace source told the Mirror Online: “It’s too early to tell exactly what they are going to do, they haven’t decided yet.”
The moment their break was announced, a source confirmed the visit with PEOPLE and noted: “The duke and duchess have a full schedule of engagements and commitments until mid-November, after which they will take some much-needed time for the family.”
The Sussexes may consider a part-time move to the US
Will the Sussexes set up a base in California? There has been some discussion about that possibility, with Royal Expert Dan Wootton during an interview on ITV’s Lorraine: “What I learned is that after six weeks in California they are considering a possible part-time move. We can look at a situation where they have large parts of the year in the US. “
He continued: “This is not yet decided. They will have to determine their location, train exactly where they want to be. But the suggestions are all over California, because that is where Meghan’s mother Doria is of course.”
