Happy Father’s Day, Prince Harry!
The Duke of Sussex celebrates his very first Father’s Day on Sunday, just over a month after welcoming baby Archie Harrison with wife Meghan Markle. In honor of the special day, the royal couple went to social media to share the first photo of their baby boy’s face.
In the sweet new photo, taken by the royals and posted on their Sussex Instagram account on Sunday, baby Archie looks at the camera while being held by his father.
“Happy Father’s Day! And I wish a very special Father’s Day to the Duke of Sussex,” the caption reads.
The duke and duchess of Sussex have previously shared a photo of the feet of baby Archie in honor of Meghan’s first mother’s day in May.
“Paying tribute to all mothers of today – past, present, expectant mothers and those who have been lost but have been remembered forever,” the couple signed the photo of Mother’s Day. “We honor and celebrate you all. Today is Mother’s Day in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Japan and various countries throughout Europe. This is the first Mother’s Day for the Duchess of Sussex. “
Harry and Meghan welcomed their baby boy on 6 May. The couple later introduced their son to the world at St. George’s Hall at Windsor Castle.
The baptism of Harry and Meghan’s son will take place in early July at Windsor’s St George’s Chapel, where the couple married in 2018. Their officiant, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, and possibly also the Dean of Windsor, the right Rev. David Conner, will perform the baptism, a source told E! News.
Queen Elizabeth II is not expected to be present due to a roster conflict. Guests will be Harry’s brother Prince William and wife Kate Middleton, and the parents of the brothers and sisters Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, as well as Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland.
It’s clear that Harry and Meghan have chosen some transatlantic friends as the godparents of Archie, the source said.
Meanwhile, the two have slowly introduced him to his family. Another source said that Archie has so far met most, if not all, of his royal cousins, including William and Kate‘s children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, as well as the children of Zara and Mike Tindall, MIA and Lena.
