The Sussexes have arrived.
On Monday, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry landed in Cape Town, South Africa, with their 4-month-old son Archie, while the trio started their first royal tour as a family of three.
Meghan Markle, 38, who welcomed her first child with Harry, 35, in May, was photographed while holding the baby while the prince followed shortly after him.
Later that day, Meghan and Harry came out for a performance in Nyanga Township, while Archie, according to People, stayed with a babysitter.
“I wanted to make sure that our first visit as a family, with my wife by my side, focused on the important challenges that millions of South Africans face, while at the same time acknowledging the hope that we feel so strong here,” Harry said per outlet .
He continued: “No man is born to harm women. This is learned behavior and we must break that cycle. “
Meghan, who wore a black and white printed Myamiko dress for the occasion, also spoke with spectators.
“And only on one personal note, while I am here with my husband as a member of the royal family, I want you to know, I am here with you as a mother, a woman, as a woman, as a woman of color and like your sister, “she said.
In addition to Cape Town, Harry is also expected to visit Malawi, Botswana and Angola during the 10-day tour.
