Prince William lived every spin and spin while Aston Villa secured their return to the Premier League with a 2-1 final play-off win against Derby at Wembley.
The Duke of Cambridge previously told BBC Sport that he decided to support Aston Villa in school because he wanted to be different from his friends who followed Manchester United and Chelsea.
Instead, he opted for a “center of the table” side that would give him “emotional roller coaster moments” and a team with which he could connect.

Although William admitted that he might have had to make an alternative choice to allow himself an easier ride, his experience at Wembley on Monday most likely justified his decision.
Everything went well according to plan when John McGinn led Anwar El Ghazi’s goal to give Villa a 2-0 lead after 59 minutes.
But Martyn Waghorn’s late reaction on Frank Lampard’s side led to a nail-biting final – and one that eventually brought the Prince much closer together with the former Villa striker John Carew.
We look forward to similar scenes on next season’s Match of the Day!
