Monique Samuels is known as RHOP’s shadow killer. Over the course of four seasons, Monique Samuels went toe-to-toe with her seemingly bullying co-stars. Now that she’s had time to reflect, she says there’s a big misconception about her and it has nothing to do with her feud with Candiace Dillard.
RHOP: Gizelle Accuses Monique Samuels Of Bragging About Her Plush Lifestyle
Samuels introduced Charisse Jackson as Jordan’s girlfriend in season 2. At the time, Samuels and her husband Chris were looking for a family home in the Potomac.
During their first meeting with the cast over afternoon tea, Gizelle Bryant made it clear that she was not impressed with Samuels. When Samuels announced that she was looking for a new home, Gizelle Bryant shot back sarcastically, asking, “You don’t have a home?” Samuels replied firmly, “I have four homes.” Bryant took Samuels’ response as a boast.
Throughout the rest of the season Gizelle Bryant reproached Samuels. According to Gizelle Bryant, Samuels’ wealth is the result of his retired NFL playing wife. He also said in several interviews and to co-stars that he thought Samuels was outstanding and loved to brag. Bryant often cited Samuels’ “I have four homes” as the reason for his return. Samuels denied this and claims that Gizelle Bryant could not stand up for him. He also says that Bryant is a jealous person.
During a recent appearance on Tami Roman’s FOX Soul chat show Get Into It, Samuels said Bryant’s constant reference to him as a braggart created a misconception. In fact, Samuels says it was his co-stars and production that prompted him to talk about his lifestyle on the show.
Samuels says it bothered him even more because, before the TV appearance, his own family was not aware of how he and his wife lived.
