Rob Lowe joked about Prince William’s hair loss in a new interview and some people were not happy with his comments.
When The Telegraph asked the St. Elmo’s Fire star 55 if he thought he was “more or less vain than British men,” he replied, “That’s a low bar! Can we talk about William? “
“I mean, the future king of your country has lost his own hair, so when I say that British men have set a very low bar …” he continued. “Frankly, one of the great traumatic experiences in my life was watching Prince William lose his hair. He will become the f-king-king of England! “
Lowe then shared some advice for the British royal family, 36. “There is a pill [to combat hair loss],” he said. “The first glare that one hair of mine would fall out, I had things recorded in my f-king veins. And that’s what I’ve done for the next 30 years.”

Shortly after the British newspaper published the interview on Tuesday, May 28, the comments of Parks and Recreation alum on social media were somewhat criticized.
“@RobLowe, you gotta be kidding! Why the hell would you mock someone because of their hair loss?” Wrote a Twitter user. “Not even Prince Willem. Everybody! Are you really that superficial? “
Another user repeated: “@RobLowe even stopped you to think of how it feels that William is drawing attention to this ??? Are you not listening to William’s statements about mental health?”
“Not cool at all, Rob – insult not only the Prince, but all British men, about something as ridiculous as her,” wrote a third tweeter, while another complimented William for “keeping himself elegantly older”.
Some Twitter users have turned things around and enjoyed the former hairstyles of Lowe (“Who was in charge of Rob Lowe‘s hair during season 4 of P&R?”), While others brought up his controversial past. “On the plus side, William didn’t hit underage girls like @RobLowe,” a critic replied, referring to the infamous 1988 s.x tape of the actor with a 16-year-old girl.
Fortunately, William’s thinning hair was not a painful point for him. He even joked about it in September 2017 and told a hair stylist: “I don’t have much hair; I can’t give you much business.”
