‘Scrubs’ Fans Can Now Donate to GoFundMe for Sam Lloyd Amid Cancer Battle

Shortly after the birth of his first child, Scrubs star Sam Lloyd – known for playing Ted Buckland in the medical comedy series – was diagnosed with lung cancer.

Well, Scrubs producer and producer Tim Hobert and his wife Jill Tracy have launched a GoFundMe page where fans of the actor can donate to help with upcoming medical issues. In the campaign Tim Sam shared the current state with the followers.

“In mid-January, Sam got a headache and lost 10 pounds, and he suspected that the headaches were caused by the lack of sleep that accompanied his new role as a daddy,” Tim wrote. “On Thursday, Jan. 17, when his headache got worse, Sam decided to go to the doctor, the doctor said the pain could be sinus, so he ordered a CT scan and the scan showed a mass in Sam’s brain. Within a day He was in a brain operation Unfortunately, the tumor was too intertwined that the surgeons could not remove it Until Sunday, Sam and Vanessa were informed that the cancer in his brain had been metastasized from his lungs Liver, spine and pine. “

As expected, Sam treats the devastating diagnosis with his typical humor. “Given this devastating news, Sam and Vanessa were incredibly strong and positive, and the humor and laughter that have made up a large part of Sam’s life will undoubtedly help him with his future responsibilities,” Tim added. “Sam is, to put it simply, a sweet, kind and generous soul, and through his music and his acting, and above all, his friendship, he has blessed our whole life immeasurably.”

So far, the campaign has raised more than $ 90,000 in two days. Tim hopes, however, that Scrubs fans will team up to show their support for Sam – who has a long journey ahead in the coming months.

“With Sam and Vanessa facing the challenges of the future, both of them have to put their work on hold and there will be a range of costs for medical care, childcare and other costs,” Tim said. “We ask for your help, so that our dear Sammy can use the time to get well, spend time with his wife, his new son and his wonderful friends – and lend the title of the new song, the Sam for his show wrote. “Making music on the way.”

Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence also shared the GoFundMe page and tweeted, “This is Sam, he was with SCRUBS Ted, he’s a buddy, he just had his first baby, you can participate, if you can, Zach Braff also showed his Support and wrote: “Tragic news from our beloved Sam (aka Ted, the lawyer). I will of course participate. Please send him your love. “
