Expecting Kourtney Kardashian to serve processed food at a family event is a much bigger question than we realized.
“Call the police”, jokes Kim Kardashian in this seriously funny (and regarding plans for North West and Penelope Disick’s joint b-day bash, legitimately serious) first clip of Keeping Up with Kardashians’ 17th season, set to this autumn. Looking at a glass jar full of candies on Kourtney’s footstool, Kim exclaims: “There is candy in it!”
Those familiar with the lifestyle site of the Poosh founder know that Penelope’s mother is a kind of expert on everything to do with health, and is determined to practice what she preaches. In the clip, Kourt Kim and Khloe Kardashian proudly informs that the barrel of treats comes from Kris Jenner and is currently her “only hidden stock of sweets.”
“Oh my god,” sighs Khloe.
But what starts as a semi-playful exchange between the sisters becomes less pleasant by the minute, while Kim and Kourtney engage in a full argument about the upcoming birthday party with the Candyland theme of their daughters.
“There is no reason why you can’t have the theme of the party and have treats that …” Kourtney starts, but Kim cuts her off because she sees where this health food conversation is already taking place.
“It’s Candyland”, says the founder of KKW Beauty. And while the oldest Kardashian sister continues to claim that some sweets are not “full of chemicals,” Kim is very skeptical.
“It’s a Candyland-themed party! That’s, like, what the party is about,” she repeats. “It’s not a gluten-free country here.”
If neither party concedes, Kourtney proposes to organize separate parties.
“Perfect,” a frustrated Kim bites back. “That is exactly what we will do.”
