Sister Wives: Kody Brown’s Wife Meri Brown Scorned and Driven Away?

Sister Wives stars Kody Brown and Meri Brown unite in a rare scene as the police show up at Meri’s Flagstaff home in the new season. The TLC promo video offers clips of season 14, where the move to Flagstaff seems to start with a slap under the belt for Kody and Meri Brown.

It looks like the Sister Wives tribe is getting more than they expected with moving problems. It seems that Kody Brown’s vision of open arms in Flagstaff did not include Meri Brown’s new neighbors.

Yes, it looks like Meri is the Sister Wives spouse who the neighbors drive away. But first, she gets a visit from the Flagstaff Police.

The latest preview for the Sister Wives season 14 may confuse fans. It seems that TLC in the UK has grouped together some of the seasons and made this new season, season 9 in the UK.

But it is the preview of what fans will see when the new season comes out in a few weeks. In the U.S., they call it season 14.

A new extended preview of TLC on TV offers some scenes with the Kody Brown family taking place in the earlier days of the Sister Wives show. One is in particular when Robyn explains how the police came to investigate their polygamous marriage.

This was when Kody Brown packed up the family and left Utah in the middle of the night. They landed in Vegas, where most of the Sister Wives series was filmed.

A Little PTSD From Utah Days?

At that time, the law related to their family about polygamy brought fear. All four of Kody Brown’s wives were scared, as were Sister Wives‘ own patriarch.

When they lived in Vegas, the family that make up the Sister Wives never had to look over their shoulders. Vegas city council, as well as the residents of that city, didn’t care that Kody Brown had four wives and 18 children. They had the freedom to come out with their polygamous lifestyle in Sin City.

Kody Brown pretty much convinced his wives that they’d find the same acceptance of their family in Flagstaff. But not even after 24 hours after their move, the police visit Meri’s house after the neighbours file a complaint.

It seemed to bring back those bad Sister Wives Utah memories for Meri Brown. Back when the law breathed down their necks in Utah.

Sister Wives: Flagstaff Police Answer Complaint?

Although the details of this police visit remain unclear, Meri tells the other Sister Wives some scary news in another scene. Apparently Meri Brown learned that a neighbor didn’t want a polygamous woman near them.

Meri was furious when they grabbed her stuff from the truck and the neighbors came to check it out. She didn’t feel welcome when she first landed on her new rental in Flagstaff during their first move.

Sister Wives matriarch eventually moved out of that rented house. At the time, the TLC previews mentioned that one of Sister Wives’ wives was evicted from her home by neighbors. Although Meri’s name was not mentioned, this latest clip seems to indicate that it was Meri Brown whose neighbors moved her.

Kody Brown Thinks It’s Nothing a Little Friendship Won’t Fix?

Meri tells her sister Wives family the next day that while she and Kody were locking the truck at her house, the police showed up. The couple was alone at the time.

She also told them the neighbors didn’t want a polygamous woman around. Janelle looked very worried and threw away the question of what they were doing with their move.

Kody Brown looked like he wanted to avoid the subject, while all five husbands were talking on the couch. He said they should make friends with people. Looks like not everyone welcomes the polygamy lifestyle. Kody Brown first suggested it wouldn’t be a problem. He used it as a selling point for his wives to get them moving.

So it seems that the four women felt duped by their shared husband of Sister Wives, according to fans’ responses online. Kody brought them to Flagstaff and the first visit Meri Brown receives at her new home is from the Flagstaff police.

It seems that a neighbor wanted them investigated as polygamists. Kody’s was far away with his painting a welcome wagon-like scene for his family. This seems far from it.

Sister Wives season 14 starts on Wednesday night, January 5, 2020, so tune in to TLC and catch the premiere.

  1. When are these women going to wake up to that piece of poop Cody. He only wants Robyn and his new 5th woman. He moved all of you to Arizona under false promises to help him financially build that huge home in the woods for everyone under one roof. It doesn’t work that way in Arizona. Geeez Meri, Janelle and even airhead Christine wake up and see him for what he is. Your strong women who does not need him for anything. Move on with your lives and find someone who TRULY will love you.
Thanks for listening to this old woman
