Tammy Slaton, the star of the hit reality TV series 1000 Lb Sisters, has finally qualified for weight-loss surgery after facing numerous hurdles. In the latest episode of Season 4, Tammy went through the procedure, much to the joy of her family members and fans. Despite facing a slight issue during the surgery, Tammy’s weight-loss surgery went exceptionally well, and Dr. Eric Smith, her surgeon, came with good news that the surgery went successfully.
Dr. Smith mentioned that it took slightly longer than anticipated because of Tammy’s anatomy. Her small bowel and colon were stuck in her pelvis, and her small bowel came out from behind her colon, causing major complications. However, Dr. Smith and his team worked for 20-25 minutes to ensure that their measurements were good and took the procedure further. There were no after-effects, and Tammy is now safe and sound.

The 1000 Lb Sisters star lost 40 pounds in the weeks following her surgery, and she began exercising regularly in her rehab gym. She made so much progress that she could finally go home from her rehab facility after her surgery.
