Jenelle Evans will explain why she and her husband David Eason recently called the police to her mother.
After the release of two phone calls to 911, the former Teen Mom 2 star explained why David called the police about their daughter, Ensley, 2, who was trapped in a bedroom a few days after Jenelle had asked for a welfare check on Ensley and Jace. Both children currently live with Barbara Evans.
“David and I were on FaceTime with Jace when we heard my mother say to Ensley:” Come here, I need a shower. “Then she took Ensley to the other room and we immediately heard her scream and cry,” Jenelle told Us Weekly on July 2.
“We asked Jace what was going on, and he said my mother locked Ensley in the bedroom to shower,” Jenelle continued. “We told Jace to get the door open, and when he couldn’t get the door open, we called the 911 for help because we could only hear Ensley screaming.”
Earlier this week, TMZ released details of David’s appeal in which he accused his mother-in-law of locking Ensley in her room. David claimed she was unable to open the door when she had finished showering.
“She can’t open the door, and my child is starving,” David told the 911 operator. “She has been screaming on the phone for the past five to ten minutes.”
During the call, David also asked the operator if she could report the incident to Child Protective Services (CPS). However, the woman did not do this and instead informed David that he could submit a report against Barbara to an officer at a later date.
Before David’s call, Jenelle called the police after allegedly hearing her children scream while on the phone with her mother.
After the tragic murder of their family dog Nugget, who killed David in April, CPS removed the three children living with Jenelle and David, including his daughter Maryssa, her son Kaiser, and their daughter Ensley, from the house and placed them with other family members .
While Jenelle and David are trying to regain custody of Kaiser and Ensley, they still have to do so.
