Meghan McCain has no qualms about expressing her thoughts on the daytime chat show The View. The conservative presenter has always been outspoken about her views and opinions, even when they have been at odds with her co-hosts.
After Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and Prince Harry, in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, described in detail their experiences of the British royal family and explained why they decided to leave, The View presenter has not held back when it comes to how she feels about royalty and the monarchy.
Now, Meghan McCain has just done Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla a disservice, calling them “boring” and explaining all the things he’d rather do than watch them do.
After Meghan and Prince Harry’s stunning interview with Oprah on CBS, the world had a lot to say about what the couple revealed. Meghan McCain, in turn, likened the Sussex experience to escaping a cult. “They were talking about ex-cult members that somehow fled and made it out – it was like watching people who’d escaped Scientology,” Meghan McCain told The View.
Meghan McCain was also horrified by a remark made by an unnamed family member about Archie Harrison’s skin tone, saying it could scatter the entire monarchy. “I think the comments about Archie’s skin tone are comments that are going to haunt them forever.” he said.
The View: Meghan McCain is not a fan of Queen Elizabeth II
Meghan McCain is very pro-American, which means he has never been a fan of the British monarchy. He expressed that Megxit and the way it behaved towards the Duchess of Sussex could be at the root of it all. “I know people love Queen Elizabeth and she’s a legacy but I don’t like the way they treated Meghan Markle and Harry,” McCain said on a May 4 episode of The View. ”
I think that Americans are pretty protective of them right now because she went over there, tried to help modernize something that’s — in my perspective — old, archaic, and deeply irrelevant, And now [Meghan] came back here. I’m just glad they have a safe space where they can live their lives the way they want to.”
