Unai Emery has been given a final ultimatum by the board

It feels like deja vu. When you think back a few seasons ago, you will remember that Arsene Wenger extended his time as an Arsenal manager. After successive disappointing losses, ‘#WengerOut’ seemed to be the most consistent trend on Twitter.

In the end, however, his departure was announced midway through the 2017-18 season, where the Gunners reached the Europa League final. They were not successful in this competition but also grateful for the service the Frenchman served and excited for the future.

Shortly after Wenger’s departure, it was confirmed that the manager of Paris Saint-Germain Unai Emery would take charge of Arsenal. Given their failures in the Europa League, Arsenal fans were eager to hire a specialist from the competition. He had won three consecutive trophies with Sevilla in his previous job.

A year and a half later, fans of Arsenal are not as optimistic as before. They are fifth in the Premier League and cannot get a grip on their form. They had disappointing results last week against Liverpool and Wolves, when they said goodbye to the Carabao Cup and fell further behind in the top four of the Premier League.

The Mirror has reported that Unai Emery has been given a month to save his job as an Arsenal manager. That said, the Spanish boss must concentrate on collecting three points in every match he encounters, no lower target is acceptable.

He also has to make a few difficult decisions regarding his starting XI. Fans call on Mesut Özil to appear consistently and, in view of his latest performances, he has made his own affairs.
