Van Plows Through Cars in Hollywood Police Pursuit

Police chased a high-speed vehicle in the San Fernando Valley on Wednesday night for the wild chase in the Hollywood area.

Eliana Moreno and Newschopper4 Alpha were set at around 11:05 am. racing a high-speed bus on the 101 highway in an attempt to evade law enforcement.

The pursuit originally started in Van Nuys but found its way to the Hollywood area.

When the van tried to get off the highway and was greeted by cars at a traffic light, the rear vehicle plowed through the vehicles that blocked its way and even collided with one vehicle in sufficient force to turn a bumper and turn around.

Finally, the van collided with several parked cars before it settled near the corner of North Highland Avenue and Leland Way in the Hollywood area at about 11:15 am.

The driver tried to flee but did not get far, because the police took the driver into custody and cleaned up the van of additional potential threats.
