Last week, ABC released a promo for Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor’s who plagued an appearance by former Bachelorette Hannah Brown. And now we finally have answers about her involvement. (Hint: it’s not what you think.)
It turns out Brown returns to the bachelor’s home to organize a group date – not to date her 28-year-old ex-boyfriend, who happens to be looking for his future wife.
According to E! News, ABC is taking things up with a three-hour (!!) premiere on January 6. Although the first episode is normally dedicated to dragging lime arrivals, the network adds an extra hour to make room for the very first group dates of the season.
One date will take place at a flying school, while the other will be organized by Brown, which explains her arrival at the limousine in The Bachelor promo. The former bachelor will commission nine participants to share their most memorable sex story / fantasy.
The catch? They do it in front of a live studio audience, so get ready for lots of windmill jokes. (Sorry, Mommy.)
Of course, ABC makes it look like there’s more to Brown’s hosting performance. In a press release, the network teased a number of thought-provoking questions about what happens after the group date, such as “What happens if Peter discovers a desperate Hannah backstage?” And “Will Hannah join the group of women in the bachelorette and keep dating Peter? ‘
